When the Add New Email Account dialog opens, click on the "Manuallyconfigure server settings or addition server types" check box and then click Next
Choose Internet E-mail from the E-mail Service type list
Fill in your details in the Internet E-mail Settings dialog
Use the Incoming and Outgoing mail servers specified on the email we sent you when your account was created. For most customers this will be mail1.ace-hosting.com.au. If you don't have the email and mail1.ace-hosting.com.au does not work for you please open a support ticket or email support@ace-hosting.com.au.
Your email address is whatever your set up using the Virtualmin control panel (eg neill@ingenious.com.au)
If you only have one email account, or this is the primary email account then your User Name will be your admin username (ie the first part of your domain eg ingenious if your domain is ingenious.com.au).
If this is a secondary email account then your User Name will be the first part of your email address (the part before the @ symbol) and the first part of your domain name (the part before the first dot). For example if your email address is neill@ingenious.com.au then your User Name will be neill.ingenious.
Type your password into the Password field.
Check the Remember password box (unless you want to type in your password every time you open Outlook)
Do not check the Secure Password Authentication checkbox
When you have finished entering your details click on the More Settings button
When the Internet E-mail Settings dialog opens, click on the Outgoing Server tab
Check the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication checkbox
Make sure the Use same settings as my incoming mail server radio button is selected
Click on the Advanced tab
On the Advanced tab select SSL from the drop own menu under the Incoming Server (IMAP): heading. The port number should change to 993.
Choose TLS from the drop down menu under the Outgoing server (SMTP: heading)
Click the Ok button. You should see the Congratulations dialog.
Click Finish.
When Outlook collects mail for the first time you will see an Internet Security Warning dialog. This is because the name the mail server announces itself as will ot exactly match the name of your mail server. Because many customers share the same server it is not possible to avoid this. Despite the warning it is safe to use the server.
